“People are often divided into many parts, and sometimes these parts don’t even know that others exist. In creating this collection, I explore this phenomenon and strive to connect these parts within myself.”
In her newest collection of works, the artist explores and embraces her own identity, seeing the human being as a multi-layered being in which the individual parts do not realize each other's existence. The artist explores this phenomenon by creating a collection of works and attempts to unite the different aspects. The works are based on photographs taken previously by the artist, which have been given a new dimension using acrylic, drawing, and quilling techniques (rolled and glued paper strips). The series of works presents different aspects of life as a collage, emphasizing Maria Pranka’s personality and individuality, creating a dynamic and new expression often born from the chaos of her creativity.
