Valentina Daukshis grew up in a Russian family, where her father was an accountant, and her mother - a ballerina. Her husband (Boleslavs Daukshis) was an artist, and her son (Valentin Daukshis) - an impressive Latvian lawyer in the 70's and 80's. In her youth, Valentina studied ballet and then worked as a dancer in the Latvian National Opera. She also studied fine art painting delivered by John Robert Tilberg at the Latvian Academy of Arts (LAA). In the second half of 1930, Daukshis worked as an artist at the Kuznetsovsky porcelain - faience factory " MДЃksla ".
Valentina Daukshis began participating in exhibitions starting from 1931 and even had solo exhibitions in Riga in 1969 and 1980. In addition to drawing, Daukshis worked in the Association of Independent Artists. Member of the Artists Union since 1945. Mostly known as a portrait painter for women and children.
