August Volz was the eleventh child in a shoemaker's family in Magdeburg, Germany. Thanks to his perseverance, tremendous ability, and innate talent, he managed to radically change his destiny and successfully work in the profession to which his soul aspired.
The lecturer will tell about some of the greatest legacies left by August Volz - sculptures that decorate Riga's parks, squares, and many unique building facades in the city center.
