On Sunday, August 2, at 12.00 in the Art Platz gallery, a lecture by the history teacher Edgars Berzins "Political posters in Latvia" will take place.
From populist bass to sophisticated chic - is the description of political posters in the interwar period in Latvia. During this period, there were referendums, elections and authoritarian regimes, so posters as a source of history are available in a wide range and give an idea of the value system of both society and political parties. During the lecture, we will look for an answer to the question: Do political posters influence world trends and, ultimately, what is the culture of posters in Latvia during this period?
